Experience Nature:
Costa Rica is known to be the most bio-diverse
country in the world and a bird watcher's
paradise.
The South Pacifc area with 5 National
Parks, a wonderful wildlife refuge and
two botanical gardens, offers the
opportunity to spot some of the local
wildlife, plants and flowers.
Whales frequent the area from mid
July through October and December
through March. Trips can be taken
out of the river town of Sierpe or the
beach town of Uvita. Uvita is known
for the Whale's Tail, a rock
formation along the beach.
Travel by horseback to the Nauyaca
waterfalls or just hike down to one of
the pools along the Coronado River
here at Ocaso Cerro.
