Travel to Costa Rica is easy using many International airlines. International flights arrive in the main Juan Santamaria airport outside the capital of San Jose or the smaller Daniel Oduber Quirós airport in Liberia in the province of Guanacaste. Once in Costa Rica, you can fly to many regional airports via Sansa or Nature Air.
The weather can vary dramatically around the country as there are many micro-climates. It can be hot and dry in Guanacaste, hot and humid along the Caribbean, comfortable in the central valley and cool and damp in the higher elevations and cloud forests. Costa Rica has two seasons - Dry and Green. The Dry season runs from December through May and the Green season from June through November. This varies a bit from region to region. The temperature swing from season to season is minimal and is affected more by the rain and clouds than the time of year.
